happiest 1 year old ever!

after having to reschedule many times, the evening of this session it started to sprinkle. i didn't think it was going to happen as i watched all my golden sun go behind some super dark, scary clouds. since we were doing this session right across the creek in my backyard, we just went for it anyways. luckily the rain held off, and i have to say it was just awesome. we did almost the entire session with this little guy naked and he loved it. i don't know if it was because he was naked or in the best mood ever, but it was nothing but smiles and giggles. it totally made my night! this was one of the hardest sessions for me to blog about because i literally could not pick favorites. i am in LOVE with all the images, but here are just a few for you!

change of session

initially this was going to be a couple session, but unfortunately the boyfriend couldn't be in town for it. so instead of rescheduling, his awesome girlfriend decided to have her pictures made for him and her family....so sweet! i love what we came up with. here's just a few.

sisters

i love taking pictures of families and their kids. a lot of times the 'kids' are young and i end up either making funny faces and talking baby talk or running around chasing those super quick toddlers. so this session was a bit different and i loved it! these sisters were absolutely gorgeous and fun to shoot. they were a bit shy in front of the camera at first, but it didn't take long before they were comfortable and up for anything. thanks for workin' it girls!!

sweet baby girl

finally....a newborn little girl! i had so much fun meeting this little sweetie. i really do love the tiny little fingers and toes and those sweet baby lips. there's so much to love about the itty bittyness of a newborn! she was determined to stay awake, but we were able to catch a few minutes of sleep towards the end.
