watching them grow

The Pond family is no stranger to my blog, and they also happen to be good friends of ours. I have loved getting to know their boys over time, and watching them grow is so fun. I always love to look at the images from the last time I photographed a family, and I was just looking back at the pictures of the Pond family from last year. It's amazing how much bigger Daniel and Nicholas have gotten. There is obviously a big difference in Nicholas who has grown from 1 to 2 years old, but Daniel, who is now 5, looks so grown up to me. He has lost that little boy look and is such a big boy now. They are both so handsome with their blonde hair and blue eyes, and I can't wait to continue to watch them grow even more! 3555 3610 3671 3853 4063 3913 3976 4070 4110 4284

Gavin

A lot of times when I am contacted for a newborn session, it is many months in advance. I will touch base with the parents-to-be, and then all that's left to do is wait for the baby to arrive. It allows for much anticipation and excitement about the shoot! I was contacted back in the summer for a gift certificate for the Krieger family for their new baby boy who was due to arrive in October. When the day finally arrived, I was so excited to meet this little boy! I got to meet parents Kaitlyn and Greg before the baby's arrival to chat a bit, and Kaitlyn mentioned that she had a few props that she wanted to incorporate into her session. Greg played football in college and using his football helmet was top priority. Kaitlyn also knits, and she had a sweet little pumpkin hat that she made. It was perfect for their little 'pumpkin baby'! Gavin was just the sweetest little boy, and he had such beautiful skin and the best head full of dark hair. He literally slept for the entire time I was working with him and didn't make a peep, not one single peep! He was an absolute dream to photograph. Kaitlyn and Greg are originally from New Jersey, and they had family in town to meet Gavin. There was such a sense of the importance of family between them all, and Gavin is one lucky little boy to be surrounded by so much excitement and love! 0576 0285 0527 0869 0872 0982 1071 1740 1643 1598 1887

looks who's sitting up!

I just love every time I get to see the Adams family. They have been so wonderful to me since the very beginning of my journey, and I love getting to be a small part of their journey as well. Sarah and Greg welcomed Abigail into their family back in March, and what a little beauty she was. I couldn't wait to see the change in her now that she is sitting up, and I always love seeing her big brother Everett. He has changed so much over the years, and it's fun for me to see him stepping into the role as big brother. Seeing him learn to be gentle with Abigail and trying to love on her in his own way at the same time is priceless. Sarah and Greg are always so laid back at their family sessions and capturing them loving their babies is a joy. We had the most beautiful evening with some gorgeous golden light. That mixed with lots of family fun and love, made for some really sweet images. 8410 8425 8364 8630 9018 8676 8495 8832 9271 9081 9892 9757

a change is gonna come!

Sometimes I see a family and I think to myself, "I would LOVE to photograph that family!" Well, this is the Parks family, and I have thought that many times over the years about them. I first met mom Lindsay because our boys were in ECLA together at John Adams. I have really enjoyed getting to know her a bit, and I was SO excited when she asked me to photograph her family. Some of you may recognize them from the gender reveal party on my Facebook page. Lindsay is pregnant with twins...yes twins (doesn't she look amazing?!), making this a soon to be family of 7! At the party we all found out Eric and Lindsay will be adding another boy and a little girl to their family. I just know that Brady, Anderson, and Campbell will be the best big brothers and I can't wait to hear names and finally meet these two! After our session, Lindsay mentioned this being the last family session as a family of 5. I obviously knew this going into the session, but it wasn't until I really started pulling through images that it hit me. I feel so privileged to be able to document such special times in people's lives, and today I'm feeling especially grateful. 6398 6542 6185 6838 7120 7844 7900 8012 7635 7497 7590 8256
