farm

this has been the month for sessions of people that i knew in high school. i love seeing how everyone has changed and catching a glimpse into what's going on in their lives many years later. i met up with this engaged couple and their girls at the family farm where we did everything from chasing cows to feeding sheep. i really had a good time watching this family be in their element, and i even learned a bit about raising sheep. other than stepping in a huge cow patty, i had a blast. that will teach me to wear different shoes next time!

full of expression

the last time i saw this little guy, he was an itty-bitty newborn. now he's six months old and what a cutie. even though he's grown up quite a bit, i can still see that same little face....only this time he was so full of expression! i also got to spend some time with both sets of grandparents and loved watching everyone love on him and just spend time together as a family. when the session was over, i didn't want to leave. thanks for being so wonderful to be around.

LOVE this face...

downtown

after doing lots of sessions in 'park/nature' locations, it was so fun for me to head downtown. this was the first time i have done a session in downtown jonesborough, and i loved walking around scoping out little areas for some fun shots. it was extra special that jonesborough has such a special place in this family's hearts. mom and dad were married at the church and i got to hear all kinds of fun stories about times past. thanks so much for showing me around!

couple in love

i love seeing a couple in love. for me, these are the easiest kind of session because there's always so much emotion and i don't have to do anything but be there to capture it! i think there's always a bit of nervousness on what to do, but all i had to say to this couple was to love on each other and it all just fell into place. it was such a beautiful day outside and we still had some good fall color to play with. i also got to meet this energetic boy who completes this soon to be family of three. seeing all of them together was so sweet and i'm so happy for you all!

boys

i can't say enough about this gorgeous family. this is one of my bestest, bestest friends in the whole world and all her boys. i don't know where the energy to keep up with these three comes from because i must say i was worn out by the end! we started off throwing rocks and playing with sticks and then it turned into running around, tackling, tickling, and i got right in on the action. i think we all worked up a good sweat! i really enjoyed just watching these boys be boys.
